Crewe Alexandra have strengthened their defensive options by snapping up Swansea City's veteran Trinidad & Tobago international Dennis Lawrence on loan until the end of December.
The 34-year-old has dropped out of Roberto Martinez's first-team plans this season after being a regular in last term's successful League One campaign.
The former Wrexham stalwart has made 93 first-team appearances for the Swans since arriving at the Liberty Stadium in the summer of 2006.
Alex have made a poor start to the campaign, conceding 18 goals in their opening eight League One games.
