Richard Walker cajme through the Crewe youth team and spent his first season as a professional on loan at non-league clubs Northwich Victoria and Halesowen Town. He returned and made his Crewe debut in November 2000.He only made 3 more appearances over the next 2 seasons but he made the breakthrough into the first team in 2002 and made 44 appearances as Crewe won promotion to the First Division.He has always been used as a backup since then and made 47 appearances over the next 2 seasons but recently he has been out a lot with injuries.
