Paul Bignot is another product of the Crewe youth team, he can play anywhere across the back four. He graduated from the academy in February 2005 and signed a professional contract. He suffered a serious back injury later that year but when he returned, Bignot helped the Crewe Youth team to the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup. He made his debut for the senior team in September 2004 and made his full debut the following week. He went on to make 9 appearances last season and is expected to be used as a backup player this term.
