Westwood denies Boro

Ashley Westwood's strike secured a 1-1 draw for Crewe against 10-man Stevenage. The hosts were in charge during the first half and Stacy Long rattled the post before Yemi Odubade edged them ahead from close range. They could have been two up in first-half stoppage time but Robert Sinclair's shot was tipped over by on-loan Chelsea keeper Rhys Taylor. Crewe found their feet after the interval and were rewarded when Westwood collected Clayton Donaldson's pass and crashed in the equaliser from 25 yards. Long, who had already been booked, was sent off just after the hour for bringing down Mat Mitchel-King. But Chris Day saved well from Nick Powell and Calvin Zola to preserve a point for the hosts.
