Wycombe's League Two game at Crewe on Saturday looks set to fall victim to the freezing weather gripping the UK. The Gresty Road pitch has been hit hard by frost and snow in recent days and with no prospect of a thaw imminent, a 12pm inspection has been called on Friday. "At this stage, the prospects of us playing on Saturday look remote," Wycombe's secretary Keith Allen told the club's official website. "There is frost in the ground, snow lying on top of the pitch covers and more frost is anticipated, including on Friday night. "They are having a pitch inspection at lunchtime on Friday and they expect the game will be postponed."
