Walton unclear over future.

Simon Walton has admitted he needs to be playing regular football before the end of the season. 22-year-old Walton who is on-loan from Championship side Plymouth Argyle has made 27 appearances for the Railwaymen and netted one goal.Leeds born Walton is at his 9th club and still has 2-years left on his contract at Home Park but with the Pilgrims facing relegation to League One and announcing a loss of £2.8m it seems that he may come to some settlement with his parent club.Walton has not featured since the 1-1 draw away at Torquay United where he came on with 12 minutes left.A rib injury which was picked up in training has meant that Walton has not featured against Notts County and Port Vale and he is now behind Steven Schumacher and James Bailey who have formed a partnership in the middle of the park.Walton told Radio Stoke "I'm not happy to sit on the bench, that's not what I came here to do and not the person that I am," he said. "I'll be trying my hardest until 8 May to make sure I'm in the team." The former Leeds and Cardiff player added: "From a selfish point of view, I've still got to try and impress the people who are watching or the people at Crewe."
