Trialists set for run out at Nantwich.

A young side will head off to the Weaver Stadium tonight along with three trialists. Welling United winger/striker Loick Pires will have a second run out in as many days as he looks to impress again at Nantwich Town. 21-year-old Portuguese player Pires netted in the 3-1 over Newcastle Town and will be hoping to secure a contract as Crewe look to replace Clayton Donaldson who left on a free transfer at the end of the season. Tom Parkes will also feature tonight after Neil Baker watched the former England U-17 defender play in a friendly against AFC Telford on Tuesday night. 19-year-old Parkes has yet to play for the Leicester first team and has loan spells at Yeovil and Burton Albion. A potential loan deal has been sanctioned by former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson who see's Parkes as a future prospect for the Foxes. Crewe have also take a look former Stockport County defender Jordan Rose as the 21-year-old looks set to parntner Parkes in defence at the Weaver Stadium. Rose was released by County following their relegation to the Blue Square Premier League the defender has come through Southampton and Bournemouth's youth systems and then played his career playing for non-league teams.
