Trialists given 90 minutes to impress

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has revealed Adam Dugdale will head a trio of trialists who will be given just 90 minutes to show him they are worthy of a contract at Gresty Road. Former Crewe player Dugdale, who spent last season at AFC Telford, has joined Danny Blanchett and Matt Brown on trial at the club but will only be given Monday's game against either Kidsgrove or Quorn to impress. Gradi told the Stoke Sentinel: "They will all play on Monday in one of the games and if someone does well we could talk about a contract, but that is a deadline for them." Dugdale made just one appearance in his previous spell at Gresty Road, as a substitute in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Rochdale, before being released in 2007.
