Championship side Ipswich Town have had a £2m bid for Nick Powell rejected after they placed a bid over the weekend.

It hardly comes as a suprise that the Railwaymen has rejected the offer as the club rejected a similar off in the summer from Premiership side Arsenal.

Also with his performaces this season and the growing interest from club it is believed that the club value their prized assit at £4m-£5m.

In recent weeks scouts have flocked to Gresty Road to cast a beady eye over the highly rated 17-year-old with 32 scouts at a recent game.

Powell has made 20 apperances this season scoring 6 goals in the process and with some perfomances being match winning ones for the Railwaymen.

Crewe born Powell has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and now at Under-18 level, he starred for England in Mexico last summer in the 2011 World Cup.
