Crewe defender Matt Tootle says he is determined to rediscover his top form following several below-par displays. The 20-year-old full-back was particularly disappointed with his performance in last month's 2-1 defeat at Morecambe. [LNB]He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've been consistent but Morecambe was one of my worst games of the season. [LNB]"I can play better than that and I know it. My aim is to do better week in and week out." [LNB]Tootle, who signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2014 in the summer, came in for criticism from manager Dario Gradi after he gave away a penalty in the defeat by the Shrimps. [LNB]He said: "I'm the sort of player who can't sleep at night after I play badly. I want to make an impact and better myself. [LNB]"I am going to push on from now on. I am one of those who needs to have a kick up the backside and I intend to show the manager I have taken on board his comments." [LNB]Tootle added: "It hasn't helped me that we've chopped and changed at the back a bit recently so I've not been totally at my best."
