Crewe Alexandra manager Gudjon Thordarson has told his team to play without fear following their 2-1 defeat by Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.Thordarson kept his team in the dressing room for around 45 minutes after the final whistle. He told BBC Radio Stoke: "They put too much pressure on themselves. "If you approach a game with fear and concern in your mind, that's never the right way. You have to be ruthless and you have to be positive." The Alex went into the game full of confidence, having only been defeated once (by Wolves) in pre-season, and beating Premier League newcomers Birmingham City 4-1 in their final friendly. Thordarson has admitted he could rotate his squad for Crewe's Carling Cup first round tie against Blackpool. "We are thinking about the league as our main priority, with a small group of players as well, there may be some changes on Tuesday night," added the Icelander. BBC Radio Stoke has commentary of Crewe's Carling Cup first round tie against Blackpool at the Alexandra Stadium on Tuesday, 11 August on 1503AM and DAB digital radio from 1945 BST.
