Thordarson furious at Alex defeat
Bobby Grant and Michael Symes both got on the scoresheet twice for Accrington, while late strikes from Joel Grant and Luke Murphy saved Crewe from a heavier loss.
"It was very embarrassing and was absolutely shocking. It was not acceptable - I have to face it and the players have to face it," said Thordarson.
"It's nowhere near what I can settle for and I won't settle for it. They have let everyone down, themselves, staff, team-mates, fans and directors.
"Some players don't deserve to wear the shirt. Maybe I am too nice and that's my reward but I won't settle for it.
"The only positive I can take out the game is the three goals and the fact we kept going but decisions in defence were shocking."
