Gradi said: "I can't believe that game was 0-0. They didn't want to outplay us and set themselves up to hit us on the break.
"I don't send my own teams out to play like that, but I can't blame them for doing it. I would have done the same if I was the Lincoln City boss.
"I'm happy, though, and it was a job well done because we will come up against teams like that.
"It's another four points from two games and if we carry on like that until the end of the season I will be very happy."
