Strong Alex line-up for Blues clash
Davis revealed the eleven who start at the outset will be close to the side that lines up against Dagenham on the opening day of the League Two season.
The Alex conclude their summer preparations at home to the Premier League newcomers on Tuesday night, with Davis keen for those set to start at Victoria Road to get 90 minutes under their belts.
However, he insists there are still one or two places up for grabs.
"We will go with what is very close to our starting XI against Birmingham," Davis told Crewe's official club website.
"We want the majority of them to play the full game and hopefully they will feel the benefits on Saturday.
"But there are no guarantees for a place on Saturday and it is still possible that the manager may make a couple of changes based on what he sees against Birmingham."
