Striker not priority - Alex boss

The French striker had been training with Alex after being released by Swindon. He scored two goals in 30 minutes in a pre-season friendly triumph at non-league neighbours Newcastle Town a week ago, but has now left the club and is having another trial ay Yeovil. Thordarson admits he was impressed by Razak but strengthening Crewe's defence and midfield is his priority. "I have to use what resources I have to sign a centre-back and a central midfielder because we have lost influential players like Julien Baudet and Danny Woodards and they are not easy to replace," Thordarson told the club's official website. "That is my priority and I decided against trying to sign Razak because we have an abundance of strikers at the club. Razak took his goals well at Newcastle and he did well for us but signing another striker is not our priority."
