Railwaymen take Hammers left back on trial

Crewe have taken 20-year-old Jordan Brown on trial.

Benfleet born Brown has progressed through the youth ranks at West Ham and made his debut in the academy league back in 2008 against Millwall.

He then went on to make many appearances for the academy team and the Barclays Premier Reserve League and also captained the academy team.

In 2010 he signed his first professional contract for the Hammers and carried on to impress at the East End club and was given an improved contract last year and featured in the clubs pre-season games at BSC Young Boys and FC Basel.

On transfer deadline day on 31st August 2011 Brown joined League Two rivals Aldershot Town and made his debut in the 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town he went on to make 4 appearances for the Shot's before returning to the Boleyn Ground.
