Phillips close for Crewe
Crewe goalkeeper Steve Phillips is closing in on a return from injury.
The 32-year-old underwent double shoulder surgery at the end of last season.
He then suffered a hip problem on his return to full training and has yet to make a first-team appearance this campaign.
"Steve is making good progress in his recovery," Alex boss Dario Gradi told the club`s official website.
"He is working hard and we are hoping he will make some really positive inroads next week."
