Murphy signs new deal.

Luke Murphy has followed in the footsteps of Matt Tootle and signed a new improved contract with the club. Murphy who recently celebrated his 21st birthday has penned a 2-year extension with improved terms that will keep him at Gresty Road till 2013.Alsager born Murphy like so many players at Crewe has progressed through the academy ranks and signed professional forms back in 2008. He made his first senior appearance as a sub in Crewe's 1-0 home win over Swindon Town and then made his first full appearance in the 4-1 away win at Hartlepool where he also notched his first senior goal.This season Murphy has made 21 appereances scoring 3 goals in the process as well as numerious assists.
