The striker marked his first start of the season against Aldershot last weekend with a goal before he was forced off eight minutes from the end of the 2-1 defeat. Mat Mitchel-King could return to the squad after missing the last three matches with the back problem he sustained in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Stockport at the start of this month. The defender failed to prove his fitness for the home game against the Shots but boss Gudjon Thordarson hopes to include the former Histon player in his plans. Thordarson insists Crewe were happy to switch the fixture date in order to assist cash-strapped Stanley's fundraising plans in their quest for survival. "It's a tough time in football at the moment and a lot of clubs are finding it hard," said the Icelander. "We respect that and we were happy to move the kick-off time in order to help them out a bit."
