McConville on mark for Stanley

Sean McConville scored his eighth goal of the season to secure a thrilling 3-2 win for Accrington against out-of-form Crewe. The midfielder had only been on the pitch two minutes when he got on the end of Charlie Barnett's pass and twisted to fire home after 75 minutes. The winner came just three minutes after captain Dave Artell volleyed home in the 72nd minute for Crewe, who have now not won in five league games. The Railwaymen had the best of starts on eight minutes when Stanley defenders Phil Edwards and Sean Hessey got in each other's way and Byron Moore slotted home. However, the lead only lasted four minutes as midfielder Ian Craney made a bustling run down the middle and played a perfect pass for Barnett to slot home his second of the campaign. Midfielder Craney scored a 25-yard wonder goal two minutes after the re-start but Artell scored against the run of play before McConville popped up with his winner.
