Late Miller strike denies Imps

The equaliser came in the 84th minute when Byron Moore set up Miller who flicked the ball home from close range.[LNB]Crewe dominated the first half but were unable to make their pressure pay. And Dario Gradi's side were almost caught out by a long-range shot from Matthew Saunders which beat keeper Steve Phillips but struck the post.[LNB]Almost immediately Crewe hit back with Joel Grant turning his marker inside the box before firing a low shot which came back off the upright.[LNB]Lincoln edged in front in the 46th minute when Chris Herd, on loan from Aston Villa, played the ball over the Crewe defence for debutant Davide Somma to fire home.[LNB]Herd should have made the game safe for Lincoln after an hour when he broke clear but he finished with a weak shot which was saved by Phillips, a miss he would rue further after Miller's late intervention.[LNB][LNB]
