The 26-year-old was dismissed against Leeds on March 21 for using abusive language to referee Scott Mathieson. The game was scoreless at the time of his red card but Leeds scored three quick goals after his early exit before holding on to win 3-2. But having now served his suspension, Jones is hoping to help Gudjon Thordarson's side improve on their precarious position just outside the relegation zone. "I am so sorry for who I let down," he told the Crewe Chronicle. "The fans, the club, the manager, the players. I'm gutted. It's something I'll never do again. "I have five games to help the team get out of this situation. "(Getting sent off) happened in a split-second. I felt I got fouled and I didn't calm down quick enough to get my head back together."
