Gradi: We'll learn from late lapses

Crewe manager Dario Gradi was left trying to find some positives after his side were denied victory in am amazing clash at Chesterfield. Alex looked to be coasting at 4-1 up and then 5-3 up with 89 minutes on the clock, but Chesterfield scored two late goals to earn a share of the spoils. Gradi said: "I'm not surprised because they are a good team but what did surprise me was the ease in which we scored our goals. We played some terrific stuff and they couldn't hold us but my worry is that we are capable of shooting ourselves in the foot. In a way I'm still upbeat because if we can play that well I think we can learn from these situations and I hope we will. He added: "We were coping with them but the two penalties did us. What we didn't do was get our game going like we had in the first half. "We gave two penalties away and our game went, we couldn't put passes together. But they are a good team and I didn't expect them to lose five or six to one."
