Gradi to choose from same squad

Caretaker boss Dario Gradi will choose from an unchanged squad as Crewe travel to Spotland to face league leaders Rochdale. Midfielder James Bailey has resumed training after overcoming the troublesome stomach muscle strain that has kept him out since mid-November. However, the 21-year-old is not expected to be back in first-team contention until towards the end of the month. That just leaves captain Mat Mitchel-King as the only player who is not training at the moment. The defender suffered ankle ligament damage against Darlington a fortnight ago and should come back into the reckoning around the same time as Bailey. Defenders Danny O'Donnell (dead leg) and Ashley Westwood (ankle) suffered no ill-effects after being surprise inclusions in the starting line-up against Torquay in midweek and they will keep their places in the side. Gradi could opt to make some changes with Byron Moore, Luke Murphy, Danny Shelley and Shaun Miller, who scored Crewe`s injury-time equaliser in the 1-1 draw on Tuesday night, among those players hoping to be recalled.
