Gradi thinking about top-six finish

17 December 2009 03:41
Alex legend Gradi, who stepped in as caretaker manager of the club for the third time following Gudjon Thordarson's departure at the start of October, endured a miserable start to his reign losing five of his first six league games.

But the Railwaymen have accumulated 11 points from their last five games to climb within four points of the play-off spots.

"I've always felt the team was decent enough to be challenging for the play-offs. We haven't proved it yet, although we are working hard to achieve that," said Gradi.

"We've just got to try to keep picking up points. We've made mistakes before and let in a lot of goals, but if we can tighten up at the back we'll win games because of the players we have at the other end."
