Gradi set to stick with XI

Crewe boss Dario Gradi is likely to name an unchanged side for the short trip to Macclesfield. Alex halted a six-match winless streak and a run of three straight defeats with a 4-1 home victory over Burton on Saturday. Short of defensive cover and with Matt Tootle ill, Gradi was forced into shuffling his defence against the Brewers with Patrick Ada moving to right-back. That opened the door for Adam Dugdale to make his seventh start of the season at centre-back. It turned out to be one of Crewe`s more solid defensive performances with both Ada and Dugdale putting in good shifts. With Tootle still out and usual right-back cover Mat Mitchel-King nursing a back injury, it means Gradi has no room to manoeuvre. However, the Alex boss is trying to bring in a young defender on loan from Manchester City.
