Gradi keeping a close eye on Stokes
Alex boss Dario Gradi believes he may be able to snap up the on-loan Bolton player as he continues to use the 19-year-old at left-back, rather than recall home-grown talent Matt Tootle.[LNB]Stokes, who has yet to be offered a professional contract at the Reebok Stadium, made his senior debut in Crewe's 1-1 draw at Torquay last weekend and Gradi has revealed he will start against high-flying Notts County on Saturday.[LNB]"Chris was fine at Torquay and we have taken him with a long-term view. There is no rush to put Tootle back in as he has had a super season," said Gradi.[LNB]"So we will play Chris as much as we can over the month of his loan and then probably let him go back and finish the season with Bolton, unless they want to let him go now."[LNB][LNB]
