Gradi in it for the long haul at Crewe

Gradi, in his third stint in the hotseat following the sacking of Gudjon Thordarson on Friday, saw goals from Kevin Ellison, Adam Le Fondre and Drewe Broughton condemn his team to their fourth home defeat of the season.[LNB]Stephen Schumacher and Calvin Zola were on target for the Railwaymen, who are just four points above the drop zone.[LNB]Gradi said: "I only found out on Thursday night that I would be taking over, so I had to do a pre-season in an hour and a half.[LNB]"But I told the players I wanted them to play more football and they responded well. I don't think these players let Gudjon down in terms of effort, but they were thinking more about effort than skill and I need to find that balance.[LNB]"I'm planning on being here for the long-term and I think we've got a good bunch of lads to work with. If I had inherited that lot when I started here 20-odd years ago I would have been well pleased."[LNB][LNB]
