Caretaker manager Dario Gradi says he understands the size of the task ahead of him after watching Crewe lose 2-1 at home to Morecambe on Saturday. The Alex have lost nine of their last 11 matches in all competitions. [LNB]"You've heard the crowd, that's how they are these days and I accept that," Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke. [LNB]"If I'm not wanted, I'll be told. But I want to do it. I've got something to work on, but perhaps I've got to do a bit more than I thought I had." [LNB]Crewe are currently 18th in League Two, six points above the relegation zone. [LNB]Substitute Steven Schumacher netted in the second half against Morecambe, his fourth goal in his last six appearances. [LNB]Gradi conceded he probably should have brought the midfielder straight back into the team, after he missed the FA Cup first round defeat at York because of injury. [LNB]"He's got a great record of scoring goals from midfield," added the 68-year-old. "Maybe I should have played him from the start. That's something I'll think about."
