Gradi clings to play-off hopes

Manager Dario Gradi has refused to write-off Crewe`s play-off hopes. A 1-0 defeat at Hereford on Sunday left the Alex 12th in League Two and seven points adrift of a coveted top seven spot. Gradi insisted there is still an outside chance his team can extend their season beyond May 7, although he acknowledged they may have to win all seven of their remaining matches. "If we win our last seven games we will get into the play-offs. I think 21 points would take us there," said Gradi. "We will carry on going until it is not possible and I will pick the best team to play Cheltenham on Saturday."
