Duo miss out again
Crewe will again be without Carl Martin and Steve Phillips for the trip to Cheltenham.
Defender Martin (shin) is yet to feature this season and will not make the trip to Whaddon Road, while Phillips continues to step up his recovery from a double shoulder operation over the summer. Rhys Taylor will again start in goal.
Striker AJ Leitch-Smith is also a slight doubt having taken a knock to his ankle, but he should be okay.
Otherwise, manager Dario Gradi has a fully-fit squad as the Alex look to build on their 1-0 Carling Cup triumph over Championship side Derby in midweek and get some first league points of the season on the board.
Youngsters Harry Davis and Kelvin Mellor have both joined Stafford Rangers on initial one-month deals and will therefore not be available.
