Dugdale wants Alex stay

Crewe defender Adam Dugdale is determined to earn a new contract and extend his stay at Gresty Road beyond January. Alex boss Dario Gradi re-signed Dugdale in the summer following a trial, having released the 23-year-old former academy player in 2007. And Dugdale is keen to make the most of his second chance at the club. He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I earned a six-month contract and Dario has had faith in me, now I want to take this opportunity. "Dario has been brilliant, he's always on me in training trying to improve me and if he thinks you're good enough he will give you a chance. "Hopefully I can keep going and try and get back in the team. When you get your chance you've got to make sure you prepare right and take it."
