Dugdale staying with Alex

Crewe defender Adam Dugdale will be offered a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of the month. The 23-year-old has impressed boss Dario Gradi enough during his second spell with the club to earn an extension. Dugdale was released by Crewe in 2007 and went on to play for non-league clubs Droylsden, Barrow and Hyde before linking up with Alex again in the summer. "We won't be saying goodbye to Duggie when the end of the month is here," Gradi told The Sentinel. "We will be talking to him before his deal runs out and we are expecting him to stay as I don't think I am going to find a better centre-half than him between now and the end of the season."
