Donaldson on the road to recovery
The 25-year-old suffered a fractured fibula in the recent 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth and was set to be sidelined until November.
However, the former Hull man is now moving freely without crutches and the club are hopeful that he could be back in action in around six weeks.
Mat Mitchel-King is also making good progress after suffering a back injury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Stockport, with club physio Rob Sharp saying the midfielder is "clinically improving".
And midfielder James Bailey will return to training later this week after recovering from his groin problem.
