Crewe will be giving more time for Steven Schumacher and Clayton Donaldson to prove their fitness ahead of the trip to Burton Albion on Friday. Donaldson took a knock on his ankle in training and is causing the greater of concern with the club already having leading striker Calvin Zola ruled out with a hamstring injury.Schumacher is also a doubt but it seems he is expected to declare himself fit even though he has been struggling with a back injury.Matt Tootle will be rested after the player complained of a sore hip and his place could either go to Ashley Westwood or Carl Martin, while James Bailey looks set for a place on the bench after coming through 90 minutes in a reserve game at Birmingham on Monday.Mat Mitchel-King is ruled out still with injury so Schumacher will take the captains arm band if declared fit, while former club captain Billy Jones is not 100% fit and will not be considered.
