Defeat deflates Dario

Crewe boss Dario Gradi was thoroughly disappointed with his side`s performance during the 1-0 home defeat to Rotherham. Alex defender Adam Dugdale scored an own goal after only two minutes on his home debut. "I don't think we have ever conceded as early as that. I put Adam (Dugdale) on to try and give us more height at the back and he ends up on the floor putting the ball in the net," said Gradi. "We made a bad start and they bossed the game for the first 20 minutes, but I felt we could have gone in at half-time ahead if we had taken our chances. "No-one played well. When they were announcing the man-of-the-match I was wondering who it was going to be because I couldn't think of anyone who had been outstanding. "I would have changed things but we had no-one on the bench who I felt was going to provide that piece of magic or skill we needed. "They looked more like a side more likely to win games than us but with a bit of luck we could have got a point."
