Davis appreciates Alex facilities
The fixture was called off on Saturday due to the adverse weather conditions that affected several games across the country, with only one match in the division surviving the cold snap.[LNB]"We've got a dome which isn't affected by the frost," Davis told BBC Radio Stoke. "We're very fortunate, we're in a great position and getting the facilities right was something Dario [Gradi] was forthright in doing very early."[LNB]On the called-off match with Torquay, he added: "We put the covers on the pitch on Thursday, but when we turned up the referee was looking at the pitch.[LNB]"He said it was dangerous in front of the main stand. Some bits were soft, some were hard, so he decided to call it off.[LNB]"But we did all we could in our power to get the game on, so we're disappointed."[LNB][LNB]
