Davis aiming for the top at Alex

Former Nantwich boss Davis, who replaces Neil Baker at Gresty Road, is relishing his role as Gudjon Thordarson's number two and he feels the position will not differ too much from what he has done in the past. He told the club's official website: "It should not be too much of an adjustment as I've been doing it for the last five to six years in a semi-professional capacity. "I am prepared to work long hours if it means success on the pitch." Manager Thordarson added: "Steve is very hard working, ambitious and a successful man. He is dedicated and that is how we will reap success. "I hope that we will have a close relationship that is the solid base to work from."
