Crewe Alexandra winger Joel Grant has the potential to play in the Championship, according to caretaker manager Dario Gradi. The 22-year-old scored for the sixth time this season in the 2-1 at Barnet as Crewe ended the Bees' unbeaten record at Underhill. [LNB]Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "If I was a Championship manager, I'd be looking at him and saying he would cause problems. [LNB]"He's got six goals so far but he could easily have had double that." [LNB]Grant, who signed for Crewe from Aldershot in June 2008 for £130,000, has shown glimpses of his talent, but also struggled to produce a consistent run of performances under previous manager Gudjon Thordarson. [LNB]Clayton Donaldson, who scored the winner against Barnet, agreed that Grant is performing well at the moment. [LNB]"Joel's got all the ability in the world, it's just about getting that consistency," he told BBC Radio Stoke. [LNB]"Once you get a run of games you'll always improve. He's showing that and he's getting the goals to show for it as well this season."
