Crewe's Gradi still 'fit and energetic'

The 68-year-old is back in the Gresty Road hotseat for a third time following the sacking of Gudjon Thordarson at the end of last week. "I feel that I'm a better manager now than I've ever been because of that experience," Gradi told Crewe's official website. "I'm still fit and energetic and I couldn't resist the temptation to come back. I've made the right decision. "There will be quite a lot of fans that aren't happy about me coming back and others that will be. "It's up to me to show them that I am going to be able to improve the players, and I'm sure that I can." Gradi's return could not signal an immediate reversal in fortunes as Crewe were beaten 3-2 at home by Rotherham on Saturday, their fifth league defeat in a row.
