Osman worry for Alex

Club captain Abdul Osman is a doubt for Crewe's home clash against high-flying Wolves.

The central midfielder suffered a knee injury in a training-ground challenge this week and the Alex are crossing their fingers Osman has not sustained ligament damage.

Striker Max Clayton is back in full training from the ankle problem which has kept him sidelined since November. However, Crewe boss Steve Davis has urged caution and is not ready to throw the 19-year-old back in just yet.

Forward Ryan Colclough is taking longer than initially thought to return from hernia problems and has been to see a specialist this week. Defender Harry Davis (knee) will not play again this term.

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett is hopeful of including James Henry and Matt Doherty in his squad.

Henry (groin) missed out last time out against Peterborough, while Doherty (hamstring) has been on the sidelines for the last four games.

Even if the two players are fit, Jackett may decide to name the same side that beat Posh 2-0 and moved the club to the brink of promotion back to the second tier.

Jackett's men will confirm their instant return if they better Rotherham's result - the Millers host Bradford on Friday night.
