Aneke back for Crewe

Crewe welcome back top-scorer Chuks Aneke for their pivotal final fixture against Preston.

The on-loan Arsenal forward, who has scored 16 goals this season, has served a three-match suspension but returns in time for the crunch clash against North End, which the Railwaymen, just one point and one place above the drop zone, may need to win to stay up.

Fellow striker Max Clayton (ankle) may also come into consideration for boss Steve Davis after playing 90 minutes for the club's under-21 side on Wednesday, scoring the goal which won them the title.

Teenager Ryan Colclough (stomach) is still out, as is defender Harry Davis (knee).

Scott Wiseman looks set to come back into Preston's squad.

The full-back has missed North End's previous half a dozen fixtures due to a knee injury but with Simon Grayson's men having already secured a play-off spot, Wiseman could gain some vital match fitness ahead of their semi-final first leg seven days later.

Preston have a two-point advantage over both Rotherham and Leyton Orient in the fight to finish third and consequently face Peterborough, so Grayson is unlikely to make widespread changes.

Defender Tom Clarke is rated 50-50 due to a calf problem, but the former Orient loanee is expected to be available for the start of the play-offs anyway.
