Brandy set to continue for Crewe

Crewe have managed to extend Febian Brandy's loan ahead of their home fixture with Peterborough.

The Rotherham forward had been due to return to his parent club after Saturday's win over Walsall, which was the Alex's second straight triumph after their first victory of the season over Coventry seven days earlier.

Striker Marcus Haber may be considered for a starting berth as he was only on the bench at the weekend following his return from international duty with Canada.

Defender Harry Davis is close to coming into consideration after a long-term knee problem, although Ryan Colclough (hernia) is a little further away and Liam Nolan (ankle) could be out until December.

Christian Burgess is a doubt for Peterborough after a hip injury forced him off against Barnsley on Saturday.

Gaby Zakuani is available again following international duty with DR Congo and he could replace Burgess in central defence.

Midfielder Grant McCann has a groin injury and joins long-term absentees Kgosi Ntlhe (hamstring) and Kyle Vassell (foot) in the treatment room.

Despite those injuries, Posh boss Darren Ferguson has plenty of options should he wish to make any changes to his team with the likes of Luke James, Erhun Oztumer, Kane Ferdinand, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Kenneth McEvoy and Ricardo Santos all available.
