Crewe squad looking strong for Exeter test

Crewe have an almost full-strength squad to choose from as Steve Davis' men welcome Exeter to Gresty Road.

Liam Smith (ankle) is the only absentee as the Railwaymen look to extend their unbeaten home start to the Sky Bet League Two campaign.

Charlie Kirk and Billy Bingham are pushing for starts.

Jon Guthrie could remain on the bench as Zoumana Bakayogo overcame a knock to start in Crewe's win over Doncaster last weekend.

Exeter's injury problems show no sign of abating despite the Grecians being able to rest up after not having a midweek fixture for the first time this season.

Defender Jordan Tillson faces up to four months on the sidelines after breaking his ankle and David Wheeler (hamstring) and Lee Holmes (foot) remain out.

Craig Woodman, Tom McCready and Troy Archibald-Henville are also a few weeks away from full fitness.

Troy Brown, who aggravated a hip injury as a substitute in the 3-2 win at Colchester after originally failing a fitness test to start the game, is another absentee.
