Grant back for Alex
Midfielder Anthony Grant will be back in Crewe's squad as they entertain Coventry at Gresty Road.
Grant served a one-game suspension in midweek and his absence was felt as the Alex slipped to a 3-1 loss at home to Notts County.
He could now earn his place back in the line-up instead of club captain Abdul Osman and given how disappointing the defeat to the Magpies was, boss Steve Davis could consider changes even if he has no new concerns.
Long-term absentees Ryan Colclough (stomach) and Max Clayton (ankle) are nearing returns but are still a little way off while defender Harry Davis (knee) will not return until pre-season.
Coventry will be without suspended midfielder John Fleck.
Fleck picked up his 10th yellow card of the season in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Stevenage and starts a two-match ban, with new loan signing David Prutton his likely replacement.
On-loan Blackpool striker Nathan Eccleston could appear from the start for the first time having made his debut as a substitute in that game.
However, the Liverpool youth product will have to be content with a place on the bench once more if Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley chooses to go with the same team, Fleck aside, that ended a four-match winless run.
