Crewe coach hails Adams impact

Former Brighton, Coventry and Leicester boss Adams took over at Vale in the summer and has made the Burslem club difficult to beat. Vale have lost just three league games so far this season and arrive unbeaten in four matches in all competitions. Baker, Crewe's longest-serving coach, told the club's official website: "Micky has great experience and he has already stamped his authority on Port Vale. "He quickly changed it to three at the back and that has been effective for them. He has brought in some good players like Tommy Fraser and recently Jason Jarrett as well and it is going to be a tough game for us. "The big thing Micky has done is that they now score goals from different sources. They can score from a few positions and Micky has them well organised. They will come into the game confident because they have been in good form of late and they have enough quality to hurt you."
