Crewe boss hopes to bounce back
The Alex were relegated to the fourth tier following their final-day home defeat to champions Leicester and Thordarson is confident that by making signings such as Patrick Ada - who joined the club from Histon this week - that he can take the club straight back up.
"I want the players in who are keen to improve and I want to win promotion out of the league and back into League One," he told his club's official website.
"I already set myself another path straight away after the defeat against Leicester and started to prepare myself for next season."
Thordarson is also lining up further signings and added: "I've got a few in the line but it has all got to come together, finances and football, and I've only got a certain amount of money to spend."
