Brayford in no rush to leave Alex

The 21-year-old only joined from Burton in October and is keen to help the Railwaymen make an immediate return to League One following this season's relegation. "The situation is that I'm still a Crewe player," he told The Sentinel. "It's nice to be linked with other clubs but I'm more than happy to stay. "I sat down with Gudjon [Thordarson] recently and he said there was a possibility I could move but that he wanted me to stay. That would give me a full season to work with him. "But sometimes a situation can be taken out of your hands. If I did move, I'd hope the transfer fee would help Crewe bring in a few fresh faces, which Gudjon wants to do. "I feel partly responsibly for taking them down because I was in there playing games. They are the club that took me from non-league football and I want to repay them by helping to take them back up."
