Calvin Zola's second-half strike moved the Railwaymen three points closer to avoiding relegation. The win continued Crewe's resurgence under the Icelandic manager, with just one defeat now in eight matches. But Thordarson insists they are not yet out of the woods. He said: "The battle between now and the end of the season will be very, very tough. "We have to keep it nice and simple and try to get something from every game." "It was a very good win. We knew it was going to be a tough game playing a team like Colchester, who are in form." He added: "We knew that it was very important for us not to give anything away in the first half."
