Boss unhappy with complacent Alex

Alex went into the game on the back of four consecutive victories which had lifted them out of the League One drop zone, but goals from former players Gareth Taylor and Joe Anyinsah condemned them to defeat despite Clayton Donaldson's strike. "Too many of my players weren't fully committed to the battle or showed the discipline needed to win," said the Alex boss. "I warned my players before the match that this wasn't going to be an easy game and if they thought it was then they were wrong. "You've got to give credit to Carlisle. They have good players and it was a lesson in the reality of football that if you don't put the work rate in you get punished. "We had chances to score but we never played anywhere near our potential and it was as poor as I have seen us at home."
